I’ve been practising yoga for about 20 years and teaching since 2012, and I’m passionate about sharing the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of a regular yoga practice. Yoga has helped me no end and I believe it can help all of us on a practical level as we go about our daily lives.
My classes include asana (poses), pranayama (yogic breathing exercises) and meditation practices, and my philosophy is that we should enjoy our practice: focusing on what we can do, not worrying about what we can’t do, but knowing that progress inevitably comes through sustained practice.
I encourage my students to develop trust in their own intuition by listening to their bodies and responding appropriately, to develop strength, flexibility and a state of open, relaxed awareness to improve overall wellbeing.
I’ve trained with a number of teachers including Dr Ray Long, Richard Adamo, Zoe Knott, Julie Friedberger and Emma Lloyd, with whom I qualified as British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) teacher.
